Mountain Hub Distillers is a collaboration between Mountain Hub and the Airbräu airport brewery.

Selected botanicals such as juniper, spruce needles, bloodroot and pine shoots combine to create a composition with an unmistakable character.
The result is a spirit that makes its origin palpable.

Is that allowed?
No! Or yes - you just can't call it "Gin"! Because they have one thing in common: the best wheat and pure water. But in order to save 5,300 liters of Airbräu beer from destruction during the lockdown, refinement in the style of gin is legitimate. This is how something fine and new was created: the beer brandies from Mountain Hub Distillers.

In 2022, the beer brandy received silver 
in the “Spirits from beer” category at Meininger’s International Spirits Award. In 2024, “Oaked” and “Pure” impressed there and were each awarded gold . In 2025, silver 
followed at Craft Spirits Berlin.
Made in the mountains.
800 liters of the Oaked brandy were distilled in Schwangau and then filled into a French oak barrel with bourbon pre-filling.
The barrel matured for 28 months on the Tegelberg at an altitude of 1,700 meters with a view of Neuschwanstein Castle.
Due to the harsh mountain climate and the high Angel’s Share, the beer brandy received its particularly intense and unmistakable character.

The Infused beer brandy was produced in the Edelobstbrennerei Huber.
Annika Schüler Porcelain
The Mountain Hub Distillers mugs were handcrafted by the master ceramicist Annika Schüler from Munich.
Brennerei Schroll
The Pure and Oaked beer brandies were produced in the Schroll distillery in the Allgäu.
